Pre-kindy Programs

Karratha Family Centre offer pre-kindy classes four days a week. Pre-kindy classes are designed to prepare children for the structure of kindergarten. Through play-based learning children will learn to follow instructions, play and learn respectfully, interacting with other children and adults.

Our pre-kindy classes are all structured the same, with the same duration, fee and outcomes, spaces are limited for all pre-kindy programs. Programs are;

School Readiness Program

This is a program designed to prepare children for kindergarten. The program is held on Tuesdays & Thursdays.

It addresses such areas as: following instructions from other adults, learning respect for others, separation anxiety and performing simple tasks such as eating in a group environment and listening at mat time.

Let's Read

Structured similarly to School Readiness, this class has a focus on literacy. It runs on Monday’s 9am – 1pm.

Children will be prepared for kindergarten, learn skills to interact with other children & adults, follow instructions and minimise seperation anxiety.

Let's Count

Let’s Count is similar to Let’s Read with more of a focus on Numeracy. Children participate in activities teaching them about maths concepts in every day life situations.

Let’s Count runs every Wednesday from 9am-1.00pm

Venue Hire

The Centre offers venue hire options for all occasions, from community and corporate events to birthday parties and other celebrations.

A meeting room with whiteboard and projector, a large bright airconditioned indoor space and a huge secure nature play space, all with kitchen and BBQ facilities are available for hire.

Humpty Dumpty Toy Library

Our toy library offers a large range of indoor and outdoor toys. Educational, sensory, pretend play, puzzles, games, bikes, scooters, climbing frames and even bouncy castles are available for hire.

One month, six month and twelve month memberships are available.  Opening hours are;

    • Wednesday 9.30 – 11am
    • Friday 10.30am – 12pm
    • Alternate Sundays 9.30 – 11am

Nutan's Draw 'n' Learn

Designed with beginners in mind, Draw ‘n’ Learn programs are perfect for children aged 3-16 years. With four different programs and a total of 8 fun and creative sessions each, your child will not only learn the skills to create masterpieces of their own long after the course is complete but also be enriched with general awareness! Classes are run once a week for an 8 week term

Draw ‘n’ Learn programs are based on a step-by-step drawing method that works hand-in-hand with original well-structured art curriculum. Our approach to learning meets every child at their level and is designed to give little artists the tools they need to begin their artistic journey into self-expression, reflection, mindfulness, creative thinking and general awareness.
